d'Aix
The Ile d'Aix is a crescent-shaped island of around 129 hectares. It is three kilometres long and 700 metres wide. Classed as a ‘site of outstanding natural beauty’, the full range of coastal landscapes to be found in the Charente Maritime region is here. A real microcosm (fewer than 200 permanent inhabitants) and an oasis of tranquility, the island can be explored only on foot or by bicycle. Inlets, cliffs, beaches, wood and marshland, meadows and salt meadows are all part of the program for any stay on the île d'Aix.

- a day on the island ; including a tour of Fort Boyard (we will drop
you off on Aix in the morning around 10.30, and collect you in the evening
around 6.30.)
