From his earliest days, René has been a lover of sail and an habitué of the harbour edge. Between the age of 10 and 20, he took part in high level competitions, being coached by his father. Then he decided to turn his passion into his career. He stopped medical school, becoming a sailing instructor and head of a water sports centre. He bought his first liveaboard yacht for his own leisure use. Following several transatlantic crossings, he decided to become a professional skipper and obtained a pleasure yacht master’s certificate. Then along came "La Marcelle" based at Toulon – it was love at first sight. Sophie and René bought her and set about restoring, fitting her out and generally giving her a new lease of life – and this is where the story of "BRASSENS VOILE" really begins.
	Onboard, René will put you at ease straight away, and is always attentive to the needs of each of his crew members! René loves the sea, his job, his boat and simply being with people, and after 13 years at the port of Boyardville, his reputation is firmly established.
